Characteristics

Control unit and interfaces

Console

1. Check / Normal mode conversion

1) Check: this device only detects whether there is magnetic stripe in the effective space.

2) Normal: this device is used for activation and deactivation.

2. Auto / Manual mode conversion

1) When the check / normal mode change-over switch is set to normal, you can select auto / manual mode.

2) Auto: the device automatically activates or deactivates according to the detected magnetic stripe status. When the activation state is detected, it is deactivated; when the magnetic stripe deactivation state is detected, it is activated.

3) Manual: according to the setting of activation / deactivation transfer switch, the device can achieve only activation or only deactivation.

3. Activation / deactivation conversion

1) When Manual mode is selected, you need to select the activation or deactivation function.

2) Activation: activation only

3) Deactivation: deactivation only

4. Deactivation success indicator

1) When this green indicator is on, it means:

● Check mode: there is no magnetic stripe in the available space, or the magnetic stripe is not activated.

● Normal mode: deactivation success

5. Activation success indicator

1) When this green indicator is on, it means:

● Check mode: the magnetic stripe is in the activation state in the effective space.

● Normal mode: activation success

6. Deactivation failure indicator

1) The magnetic stripe is permanent. It should be replaced with a deactivatable magnetic stripe, otherwise, it will cause an alarm when passing through the detection system.

2) The material used for deactivation (semihard magnetic material) on this magnetic strip is damaged. This magnetic stripe should be replaced.

3) The magnetic stripe is not in the correct deactivation position. Position the book and try again.

4) The device does not work.

7. Activation failure indicator

1) When this red LED is on, it means activation failure. The causes of failure may be any of the following:

● The magnetic stripe is not in the correct activation position. Position the book and try again.

● The magnetic stripe is damaged. This magnetic stripe should be replaced.

● The material used for activation on this magnetic strip (semi hard magnetic material) is damaged. This magnetic stripe should be replaced.

● The device does not work.

8. Infrared sensor: the activation, deactivation and magnetic check are triggered only when the infrared ray between the infrared sensors is cut off.

Fuse Replacement

The fuse is placed in the power socket of the control host and includes a spare fuse.

1. Turn off the power of the control host.

2. Insert a suitable flat screwdriver into the slot on the fuse holder and pull out the holder outwards.

3. Replace the current fuse with a spare fuse or a fuse with the same specification (250 VAC @ 4 A，Φ5 x 20 mm), and then plug the card holder back into the power socket.

Installation

Place the console directly on a surface level and able to bear its weight, or embedded into the plane.

Basic operation

Magnetic check

1. Select Check mode.

2. According to the section of "operation specification (page 10)", put the books to be checked on the console correctly.

One of the four lights is on.

Notes and Tips

For accuracy, it is recommended to put only one book at a time.

Activation and deactivation

1. Select Normal mode.

2. Select Auto mode; or, select Manual mode, and then select Activation or Deactivation.

3. Correctly place the books to be activated / deactivated on the console as described in the section < operation specification (page 10) >One of the four lights is on.

Notes and Tips

If you want to achieve activation / deactivation of several books at the same time, all the magnetic strips in them should be deactivatable; otherwise, some magnetic strips may not be activated or deactivated correctly.
